VALUE CREATION
Background
We established Athera Healthcare with the goal of building an integrated healthcare technology group, delivering innovative, specialist services to its clients.
How Aliter has helped
In March 2022, we acquired Net Solving which provides web-based data collection systems for clinical audits, disease and patient registries and quality improvement programmes. The business has had significant traction in the national audit market and works with Royal Colleges, academic institutions and charities.
In February 2023, we acquired FingerPrint which provides specialist audit and lifecycle tracking 'Track & Trace' solutions, related to the sterilisation and decontamination of surgical instruments within clinical environments. The business has an extensive library of procedures, supporting data streams and a proven ability to capture market share through product innovation and longstanding customer relationships, predominantly in the UK and Ireland.
In May 2024, we supported a comprehensive rebrand of the business, previously known as Halcyon, to become Athera Healthcare. The rebrand is central to Athera Healthcare’s strategic vision to advance patient care, by investing in innovation and acquiring new technologies. This will provide customers with interoperable systems which serve up vital health insights.
In August 2024, Aliter supported Athera’s acquisition of Newgate Technology, a provider of healthcare software solutions for patient management and inventory traceability in clinical environments.
Strategy
Aliter will utilise established networks and expertise to significantly build the group by supporting organic growth and the further acquisition of additional, complementary businesses, particularly within the field of data insights for the benefit of population health.
